About Us and Our Team of Fiber  Producers

Our Story

An RV adventure in April 2023 took us to a host farm in Virginia that had alpacas.

We were charmed by them and  decided they would make a good addition to our retirement lifestyle.

A year later, almost to the day,  we welcomed three alpaca boys.   Our fourth alpaca, Lil Boy Hank ,  joined our herd  as my Christmas gift  in November 2025.

Our alpaca boys delight us and enhance our lives.

Ringo

Ringo was six years old when we purchased him.  He became a "Dutch Uncle"  to Elvis and Baby Garth. He  protected them and taught them well, how  to be good alpaca boys.

Ringo is  a cross between a Suri and a Haucaya breed alpaca.  He is shades of cinnamon and cream.  His fiber is  a blend of silky  Suri dreadlocks  and  the crimpy teddy bear like fibre of a Haucaya.   His fibre  is a blend of the cloud like warmth of Haucaya and smooth cool feel of the Suri.

There is an elegance about Ringo.

Elvis

Elvis joined us with his little buddy Baby Garth when they were just six months old.  Ringo mentored them and taught them to be watchful , cautious  and respectful alpaca boys.

Elvis is a Haucaya alpaca.  His fawn and cream coloured fibre grows thick and has a lovely crimp to it.    When cleaned,  and mill washed, picked and carded it is soft and  so very fluffy.

Baby Garth

Originally named Garth, he was a tiny little guy when we got him, hence the nickname Baby.  A month younger than Elvis, he still remains on the smaller side.   He has a sweet, joyous personality

Baby Garth is a Haucaya alpaca.  Like all alpacas he loves to roll in the dust and dirt.  Once his fiber is mill washed, it is so white it almost glows.   It has a lovely crimp, is super soft  and dyes wonderfully.

Baby Garth loves to sunbathe and "play dead" to scare us.

Lil Boy Hank

Lil' Boy Hank came to our herd of alpaca boys as  a Christmas gift  in November 2025.

Three year old, sweet tempered,  Suri boy Hank,  instantly became Ringo's best friend.

His luxurious blue-black fibre is smooth, straight and shines like silk when it catches the light.
